1- Official Name:

Pakistan is a Islamic country situated in the northern part of Arabian in South Asia. Commonly this country is known as Pakistan in around the world but this is not its official name. Official name of this beautiful country which situated in the lap of nature is ‘Islamic Republic of Pakistan’.

2- Formation of the Pakistan:

There isn’t any historical data about Pakistan before its formation in 1947. Birth of Pakistan was occurred due to the religious conflict between Hindu and Muslims and this conflict was spread by the leaders of that to time for their own interests to be the supreme power of a country. Pakistan was emerged as an Independent country on 14th august 1947 after the partition of British Indian Empire. Previously it was the part of India and later divided on the basis of Muslim majority.

3- Capital of Pakistan:

Islamabad is the Capital city of Pakistan but it is not its first capital of Pakistan. Karachi was the first capital city of Pakistan after its independence as it was the first choice of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. In 1958 Ayub Khan, Army General and second President of Pakistan shifted the capital of Pakistan from Karachi to Rawalpindi and on 14th August 1967 after 20 years of its independence Islamabad became its official Capital.

4- Meaning of the name “Pakistan”:

Before knowing much more about Pakistan you should know about the meaning of the Pakistan. The Meaning of Pakistan is ‘The Land of Purity’. Pakistan is an Urdu and Persian word. The name Pakistan was given by an Islamic activist ‘Chaudhary Rahmat Ali’. You might be amazed to know that Chaudhary Rahmat Ali who given the name of this country was expelled from his own country later and his all properties were seized by the Pakistani Government.

5- Father of the Pakistan:

Muhammad Ali Jinnah is known as the Father of Pakistan. In Pakistan he is also known as the ‘Baba-i-Qaum’. He had played an important role behind the formation of Pakistan as a separate country after the partition. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the First Governor General of Pakistan till his death on 11th September 1948.

6- Biggest Football producer:  

Pakistan is the biggest Football producer country around the world. It produces approx 70% footballs of the world which is more than 40 million Footballs every year. Sialkot the city of Pakistan is the hub of Football production. Pakistan had fulfilled the need of Footballs in the FIFA World Cup of 2014 and 2018. Pakistan has been supplying Footballs for the FIFA World Cup since 1982.

7- Bangladesh as East Pakistan:

Most of the people know that Bangladesh is a country in South Asia but you might be amazed to know that at a time Bangladesh was the Eastern Part of Pakistan and known as the East Pakistan. Bangladesh became independent in 1971 from Pakistan with help of India after the Bangladesh Liberation War. Bangladesh and Pakistan were the part of India till 1947.

8- Land of Edhi Foundation:

Pakistan is the Land of Edhi Foundation. Edhi foundation has a Guinness World Record for having the capacity of world’s largest volunteer ambulances for 24 hours emergency. Edhi foundation has provided the monetary help to a number of countries in the time of any big natural disasters. Edhi foundation was founded by Abdul Sattar Edhi.

9- Highest Highway in the world:

Pakistan has a highway named Karakoram Highway (N-35) is the one of the Highest Highway in the world. It connects Hasan Abdal to the Khunjerab Pass of Pakistan. This highway connects China to the Pakistan. The construction of this highway was started in 1959 and completed in 1979. The length of the highway is approx 1300 kilometre. It is also known as the Eighth Wonder of the World.

10- Youngest Nobel Prize winner:

Pakistan is the birthplace of Malala Yousafzai. She had been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in the year 2014 at the age of 17 along with Kailash Satyarthi. She became the youngest Noble Prize winner in the history of the world.
